Mozart and Victor Schmidt - two names in one chocolate name. How it comes? The chocolate was chosen to pay tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and it was the quality and exquisite flavour of this new speciality that made the Mozartkugel so successful.
Victor Schmidt lived in Vienna in the middle of the 19th century and had a license for being a "maker of chocolate". Victor Schmidt quickly climbed the social ladder. He had a lot of good ideas, and his chocolate creations were so succesful that his name still lives on in his chocolates, which were also dedicated to Mozart.
